Biography
Aaron Ring is a producer, composer, singer-songwriter, and pianist, crafting a distinctive pop sound through his classical background and cinematic, orchestral influences. Before presenting himself under his own name, he released four piano albums and EPs as Painting Winter, gaining over 10,000 subscribers on YouTube and over 10 million views on TikTok. Along the way, he earned recognition through regional, statewide, and international music awards, and recently had his music recorded by members of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra. At 19, Aaron is now launching a defining new chapter with his debut pop single Watch You Leave. His music tends towards introspection, reflecting on childhood nostalgia, lost love, and slow sunsets. His influences range from the minimalistic piano music of Ludovico Einaudi to film composers like Hans Zimmer to bands like Coldplay. Aaron’s love for music began with a violin the size of a spoon, which he started playing at age 3. He picked up piano shortly thereafter and began composing at 5. Just like his yearly violin upgrades, his interests gradually expanded, leading him to pursue creative writing and gain fluency in German, Spanish, and Mandarin Chinese. He also enjoys the outdoors, having skied competitively for many years, though now his primary form of exercise is walking to the practice rooms at the USC Thornton School of Music, where he is refining his sound and exploring the boundaries of what pop can be.
